The ASRock M3A770DE is a gaming-oriented ATX motherboard based on AMD's AM3 socket and AMD 770 chipset.

The motherboard supports Phenom II, Athlon II, and Sempron 100 Series CPUs with Thermal Design Power (TDP) ratings of 140 watts or less. It uses a dual-channel memory configuration, and sports four DDR3-1600 slots for containing as much as 16GB of RAM.

Two PCI Express (PCIe) 2.0 x16 slots let the user add two video cards in a CrossFireX configuration; one PCIe x1 and three standard PCI slots are also present. There are four on-board SATA jacks, each supporting 3Gbps SATA II.

The selection of rear-panel ports comprises two PS/2, for adding a mouse and keyboard; four USB 2.0; two powered eSATA/USB combo connectors; and both optical and coaxial S/PDIF out. Two additional USB 2.0 headers, supporting a total of six additional ports, may be found on the motherboard itself.
