It's not the sexiest ultrabook around, but the Aspire S3 has plenty to offer.
Ultrabooks are the Next Big Thing in mobile computing, aiming to combine the grunt of a notebook with the slimline design of a netbook. They follow in the footsteps of Apple’s MacBook Air and generally ask you to make similar sacrifices in terms of connections and features.
Over the last few weeks I’ve looked at the Asus Zenbook and the Toshiba Satellite Z830, along with Android hybrids such as the Asus Slider and Transformer. It’s worth mentioning that Asus has also announced a new entry-level Core i3, 11.6-inch Zenbook for $1099.

Today I’m looking at the 13.3-inch Acer Aspire S3 ultrabook, another contender for the title of Ultimate Travel Companion. If you’ve got your eye on a 13.3-inch ultrabook, the Aspire S3 is the one to beat in terms of pricing.
